I've used this checklist on every theme I've evaluated since 2018. Check each item that the theme passes. A score of 14+ means the theme is worth your time. Below 10? Keep looking.

What to do with your score:
  • 16-20: Excellent theme. Buy it, install it, build.
  • 14-15: Good theme with minor gaps. Acceptable for most projects.
  • 10-13: Mediocre. Consider alternatives unless it has a feature you can't find elsewhere.
  • Below 10: Skip it. Life's too short for bad themes.
